Most recently, she made a splash when she raised funds for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria with "Neredesin Sen" ("Where are you?"), moving audiences to tears: Karsu. The 33-year-old singer with Turkish roots, born and raised in Amsterdam, represents a new generation of Turkish-speaking pop stars: from the piano, she playfully combines jazz, blues and Turkish musical traditions, with her clear, powerful voice hovering above it all. The result: melancholic piano ballads and rousing band sounds in one - and a brilliant debut for the Stimmen series in the new season.
