Thick clouds of smog are lying across the valleys, the glaciers have melted and falling rocks are a constant threat. Only high up in the Alps, the mountaineers are still climbing. In great shape and with only the best equipment, they are constantly in forward motion to the next peak, to where the air is cleanest. Three of them run in to each other on this uncertain, frightening and unsettling terrain. Questionable values and strange manners apply here. Health, age and fitness are the crucial criteria. It soon becomes evident that the mountains are not the only ones crumbling. In her play, Teresa Dopler develops an equally horrifying and funny future scenario between romantic beauty and global destruction.
